Houston, TEXAS, June 24, 2020…D3eSports, a division of StemGen, Inc. (OTC: SGNI), announces the D3+Transformers race team is the first race team to enter in the new D3eSports Cup virtual championship.
The D3eSports Cup, run on the Forza Motorsport 7 platform, will launch on June 28th. Additionally, the D3+Transformers race team is scheduled to compete in multiple races and as part of the International Motor Sport Association (IMSA) racing series. Further details about the D3eSports Cup will be announced soon.
“We were originally planning to roll out our on track racing program with the D3+Transformers team in the IMSA Prototype Challenge race at Sebring in March, however with actual racing on hiatus, we believe that it is the right time to roll out the D3eSports Cup virtual championship for the esports platform,” said Simon Dawson, CEO/President of D3esports. “We have been working with Hasbro on the D3+Transformers race team initiative. Although we cannot be on the physical track for now, we and Hasbro are excited to be a part of the esports business and offer a new type of competition now that we can’t be on the track racing. We are all looking forward to getting back to the actual race tracks in due course, but in the meantime we’ll be doing virtual racing through our D3eSports platform and connecting family, friends and fans through these races.”
“We are pleased to be joining D3eSports with the D3+Transformers race car in the virtual esports world,” said Matthew Proulx, Vice President, Hasbro Consumer Products. “We have had a relationship with Ian, Simon and their Dawson Racing program for several years and appreciate their focus on education, family values and dedication to create the most exciting and engaging programs for the D3+Transformers initiative. During this time of isolation at home for a vast majority of the population, showcasing our Transformers brand in an esports arena is the right direction and with D3eSports’ STEM educational principles, it’s where we want to be.”
The current IMSA on track race schedule for the IMSA Prototype Challenge class is as follows: Sebring International Raceway, Sebring, Florida, July 17-18; Road America, Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin, July 31-Aug. 2; VIRginia International Raceway, Alton, Virginia., Aug. 21-23; Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, Lexington, Ohio, Sept. 25-27; Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta, Braselton, Georgia, Oct. 14-17.
D3esports was founded in May 2018 and launched in July 2018. Through their D3 division, Dawson Racing has over 60 years of experience in motorsports field.
